We cook in a tiny house the same way we cook in a regular house! When we say we live in a tiny house, or show pictures of our kitchen to people, we often get comments like, “Do you get take out a lot?” or, “So, you just eat out all the time, right?” And that couldn’t be further from the truth. Do we host 4 course dinner parties for 12? No. But we like to cook, and we like to make things fresh and from scratch.
Here is what a typical grocery list looks like for us:
We also have a countertop convection oven and a single electric burner. Those stay on the counter. The Instant Pot is stored underneath the counter, and used as needed. It’s nice that we can plug it in anywhere to make for more room in the kitchen. I also have a bread maker that I make all of our bread in. I store it in the loft and bring it down once a week to make bread or dough. This can also be plugged in anywhere and taken out as needed.
